Driving from NJ to Blacksburg, VA and needed to find dinner…found The Galley Diner on Google maps. The reviews didn’t lie! The servers were lovely and friendly and the food was good. We had two beers, an appetizer, two dinners and my husband loved the blueberry pie. Would stop again as we drive thru the area.
Newly renovated and updated! Qe visited tonight for dinner and were seated extremely fast. This is a qell ran establishment. Everyone was working together to provide superior service. We opted for the cheesy burger, fries, and the mustard chicken with rice and salad bowl. All were cooked perfe try and very flavorful! We will be visiting again to try out breakfast.
I've been eating here since I was a little kid in the late 90's. Through the years, I've always been able to rely upon a good meal from the Galley. There was about a five year period where I did not stop in, I came in the other day for a meal and to check out the renovation. I have to say, the burger definitely has to be one of the best in town, and the homemade mashed potatoes and gravy was phenomenal!!! It won't take me five years to come back next time!
After a recommendation from friends we stopped in for breakfast this morning for the first time. The staff was very pleasant and made sure to check in. It was such a welcoming atmosphere and the interior design was beautiful! We received our food very quickly and it was so delicious!! This is a diner I see our family visiting more often!
I go here quite often for lunch during my lunch break, and they never fail to make it the best experience. The quick service allows me to be in and out. I am never concerned about being late back to work. The food is always absolutely delicious. The workers are always so nice and quick on refills and asking if you need anything. Highly recommend them, and HIGHLY recommend their subs 😋
My husband and I live in Stuarts Draft but had to take our grandsons to work in Harrisonburg. We found this place on line and decided to get breakfast there once we dropped off the grandsons. The diner was very clean, with good lighting and the atmosphere welcoming. Our food was very good and reasonably priced. My husband had a ham omelette and I had pancakes. The food and coffee were hot and brought out to the table quickly. The waitress was nice and friendly. Will definitely come again.
Not a typical diner. Everything we tasted was seasoned appropriately. Really enjoyed our breakfast.
Absolutely amazing top to bottom. Every member of staff will check in with you if they see a glass low on drinks ect. The food is amazing, fair prices. Wish i could give it 10 stars
This is a fine dinner that has good service an great food an a good experience over all you should come try it out for your self.
We Love Galley. Fried Oysters and Ribye Steak Sandwhich are family favorites! Other DELICIOUS options are the Steak Bowl ANY Salad with Pita Bread. The Bacon cheese Fries. My husband loves all the Burgers. I don't think I've ever ordered anything that I didn't enjoy!
